Let’s clear up some kitchen confusion. When you invest in quality kitchenware, you deserve to know exactly what it can (and can’t) handle. At Ecoberi, we choose materials intentionally—because safety, longevity, and real-life use matter.
Below is your clear, no-guesswork guide to heat safety by material.
Borosilicate Glass
Your High-Heat Hero
Our glass containers are made from borosilicate glass—a premium material designed to handle temperature changes better than standard glass.
Oven Safe:
✔️ Yes — without lids
Safe in a preheated oven up to 400°F (200°C). Ideal for baking, roasting, and reheating.
Microwave Safe:
✔️ Yes — remove lid first
Glass heats evenly and won’t warp or leach chemicals.
Dishwasher Safe:
✔️ Yes
Cleans back to a crystal-clear finish every time.
Important Safety Tip:
Avoid thermal shock. Don’t move glass straight from the freezer into a hot oven. Let it rest at room temperature for a few minutes first.
Silicone
The Microwave & Storage Specialist
This applies to silicone lids and collapsible silicone containers. Our silicone is 100% food-grade and LFGB certified, built for flexibility, storage, and everyday reheating—not oven heat.
Microwave Safe:
✔️ Yes
Perfect for reheating meals or steaming vegetables.
Oven Safe:
❌ No
Silicone items should not be placed in the oven. Prolonged, direct oven heat can degrade the material over time.
Dishwasher Safe:
✔️ Yes
Top rack recommended for lids and collapsible bases.
The Ecoberi Rule of Thumb
Different materials, different strengths—used the right way, they’ll last for years.
